Eufaula – At one time this group is believed to live along the Euharlee Creek in Bartow County, Georgia. After the Yamasee War (1715-17), they live along the Talladega Creek (south of present-day Talladega, AL). Around 1760-61 a southern town by the same name is documented as being filled with “runagados” from other towns. By 1799 they become known as the Creek Tribe at the far end of the Coosa River. The Hilibi and Wakokai are affiliated with the Eufaula and all three select their chief from the Aktayatci Clan (water snake/water tiger).
